Sunds Fibertech launches groundbreaking solution for MDF and HDF recycling
Sunds Fibertech has developed an innovative solution for cleaning of recycled fiberboard for MDF and HDF production. The first system will be delivered in May 2025 to Sonae Arauco in Mangualde, Portugal.
As the panelboard industry increasingly focuses on sustainability, the use of recycled materials to produce new panels has become a top priority. One specific area is recycling of MDF and HDF, which has been challenging due to the impact on the recycled fiber quality. Over the past year, Sunds Fibertech has developed a cleaning system to address this issue.
A cleaning system that combines efficiency, sustainability and advanced design
The new cleaning system integrates a compact fiber conditioning module with advanced technology for efficient cleaning while minimizing fiber losses. The system eliminates the need for additional emission points, highlighting its environmentally friendly and unique design.
